Response Activities
֍ COVID-19 has impacted aid workers across the globe in new and complex ways on the line to help others during an unprecedented global pandemic. WE-Action has modified implementation strategy that has been set up through (Increasing frequency, availing PP Equipment, keeping physical distancing, downsizing internal loan criteria along with stretched loan repayment time)
֍ A total of 1277 (Female=1228) people including staff have received Personal Protective Materials such as Face Masks, Sanitizers, Alcohol & Soaps. All staffs at HO and field levels received PPE and working materials for HO staffs working from Home.
֍ Transportation service for Head Office staffs arranged from/to home & office
֍ 40044 (Female=16729) community members received radio messages/information on COVID 19 prevention and protection.
֍ 8 hand washing stands have been built to serve minimum of 12800 people in their communities
֍ Financial support (Purchasing of fuel) for Local government partners provided for operations against COVID 19 pandemic

Project objectives

  • To develop girls friendly safe school environment quality standards in three high schools and improve implementation
  • To establish national, regional and district level local advocacy groups and advocate for consideration of girl’s friendly education quality standards.
  • To develop accountable system for delivery of quality education that responsive to girls need and interests
  • To build girls agency and make them advocators of their rights
  • To deconstructed cultural and religious norms against girl’s education and empowerment and promote positive norms

Project objectives

  • Increase knowledge of SRHR among adolescent girls and young women.
  • Improve attitudes in support of SRHR information and services among women, men, girls, boys, and influencers
  • Increase ability of project participants and stakeholders to promote usage of comprehensive, rights-based sexual and reproductive health information and services
  • Increase ability of Women Right Organizations/WROs/ and Youth Lead Organizations/YLOs/ to promote SRHR of adolescent girls and young women
  • Increase skills of WROs and YLOs in influencing policies and programs that provide access to SRHR for adolescent girls and young women

Project basic Achievements

  • 304 women groups (SHGs), having 5752, established and started discussing on SRH and related issues. In addition, the group members started weekly saving.
  • 23 youth clubs, 797 youths (412 F & 385 M), established and have started community awareness rising.
