Project background

  • The AHP project implemented for 1 year duration where in Wag Himra zone, 4kebeles (Sekota town, Zuria, Abergele and Tsagbji). Increased access to quality emergency nutrition services to prevent, identify and treat acutely malnourish headcases, improved access to food security and livelihoods among infant, children, pregnant and lactating mothers through enhancing the capacity of Farmers, DAs and Partner staff

Project basic Achievements

  • Livelihood and adapting to new, modified and resilient forms of vegetable seeds in the community improved Restocking of 2,484 small ruminants for 828 FHH at a rate of 3shots /HH and 7500, 2 months old female Bevans chickens for 500 FHH at a rate of 15 chickens/HH as a result some family members sell their new born livestock to the market and 100% of the chickens lay egg that they are using as a meals Increased skill, knowledge and attitude of women in having balanced diet to their family especially to children under five years of age after they received a demonstrate on nutritional training.
