Project background

  • Project goal: Improve safe school environment and girls’ friendly education in public schools where communities are responsive for girls successful finishing of high schools that contributes to education system of Amhara region.

Project objectives

  • To develop girls friendly safe school environment quality standards in three high schools and improve implementation
  • To establish national, regional and district level local advocacy groups and advocate for consideration of girl’s friendly education quality standards.
  • To develop accountable system for delivery of quality education that responsive to girls need and interests
  • To build girls agency and make them advocators of their rights
  • To deconstructed cultural and religious norms against girl’s education and empowerment and promote positive norms
